Business Development Manager

UP Catalyst is challenging the global raw material industry for the production of electric car batteries and we are searching for a well-experienced Business Development Manager to represent our business in the UK. UP Catalyst is a novel deep technology start-up changing the world by producing carbon materials directly from CO2. We bring a sustainable production method to the market while lowering the environmental footprint of electric car batteries by 14%.

Now we are aiming to expand our market to the United Kingdom to serve some of the biggest electric car battery manufacturers in Europe – BritishVolt, AMTE Power, Oxis Energy, LiNa Energy, etc. Our product portfolio matches their requirements to be able to produce some of the most sustainable and green batteries in the world.

This Business Developement Manager role is suitable for a person with great business acumen and knowledge about the battery market and its specifics. We expect this person to be an ambassador for UP Catalyst in the UK. Your job will be building up the business strategy and developinge partnerships both from the customer and sourcing side, including energy providers, CO2 emitters, and local municipalities.

Some of the key character traits we are looking for include:

  • excellent negotiating skills
  • great track record in business development and strategic planning
  • ability to research and identify potential clients
  • experience within the battery market
  • ability to liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
