Mechanical Engineer Intern

UP Catalyst is a novel deep technology start-up changing the world by producing carbon materials directly from CO2. We are challenging the global raw material industry for the production of electric car batteries. We bring a sustainable production method to the market while lowering the environmental footprint of electric car batteries by 14%.

We are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer intern to assist with the growth of our world-changing start-up. The offered internship has a minimum duration of 3 months.

Your daily tasks will include:

Designing and ordering assembly jigs to improve the safety and efficiency of the production line
Designing production lines alongside Up Catalyst’s mechanical engineer
Helping out with the ongoing projects
Providing input on equipment cost & selection, capacity analysis, quality & contingency planning
Providing support on pilot production runs

Some of the key traits we are looking for include:

Bachelor’s degree (or in the making) in a technical field
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Familiarity with CAD programs
Highly motivated and target driven
You are bold, self-starter, strategic, creative
You have strong communication skills in English
You are willing to work in Tallinn, Estonia
