Who are we looking for? 

Sales Manager UP Catalyst is looking for an eager up-beat salesperson with proven technical sales background in the materials field. Preferably with a background either from battery industry or materials sciences. UP Catalyst´s goal is to expand our sales activities in the application fields like EV battery manufacturing.  Your job will be to acquire new potential customers in EU and foster new business relations with respective industries. Your role: 

  • Lead generation. 
  • Fostering new customer relations globally. 
  • Mapping out our potential market for EV battery manufacturing in the EU and US.  
  • Managing daily sales activities with already existing customers. 
  • Administrating CRM pipeline for the mapped customers. 
  • Draft monthly detailed and accurate sales reports. 
  • Estimate sales volume for current and new products.  
  • Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals. 
  • Provide Head of Sales with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and market segments. 
  • Working closely with R&D and production team in determining product fit for the specific markets. 
  • Occasionally perform ad-hoc tasks.  

Some of the key traits we are looking for include:

  • Preferred educational background: BSc, MSc, PhD or an Advanced technical degree e.g., chemistry, physics or material science. 
  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in managing sales and lead generation. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Successful and proven track record in sales. 
  • Experience with CRM systems. 
  • Exceptional presenting skills. Ability to create awesome sales presentations is an advantage.
  • Integrity and professionalism along with a great humor would be ideal. 
  • Ability to understand technical problems and turn them into possibilities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
