Laboratory Technician

We are seeking talented and motivated Laboratory Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidates should have experience in working in a chemical laboratory, and should be familiar with safety protocols for operating high temperature equipment. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of reactors, reagent and component preparation and process monitoring. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques is highly desirable.

Your daily tasks will include the following:

Preparation of R&D reactors for electrolysis.
Carbon material synthesis using molten salt carbon capture and electrochemical transformation (MSCC-ET) technique.
Process monitoring and reporting.
Equipment maintenance.
Keeping inventory on reagents and essential components.
Creating synthesis reports based on the experiments done.
Keeping the lab clean and tidy, organizing personal working space.
Always following safety and rules of good conduct guidelines.
Constantly striving to improve purification, dispersion making and synthesis processes with putting a high emphasis on sustainability and minimal waste creation.
Contribute to ongoing international projects.

Some of the key traits we are looking for include:

Educational background: BSc degree in Chemistry, Physics, or similar discipline. Alternatively, advanced technical degree e.g., Chemical process operator, Laboratory assistant or a similar field.
Previous experience of working in a laboratory is welcome but not mandatory.
Diligent and good documentation skills.
Good communication skills in English, both oral and writing.
Team player.
