CO2carbB project develops first of its kind Molten Salt Carbon Capture and Electrochemical Transformation (MSCC-ET) synthesis process, which harvests CO2 emissions and converts them to valuable carbon materials. Instead of emitting large amounts of greenhouse gas, as in the case of CVD, this process absorbs CO2 for the production of MWCNTs and graphite.
CO2carB Project Goals
The goal of the project is to capture CO₂ emissions from heavy industries and convert them into high-purity graphite (A600) and the only sustainable multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) dispersion (F100) available on the market.
To achieve this, a new GEN3 reactor system will be designed and constructed. The project will deliver a working prototype of the GEN3 reactor.
